I was tasked with creating visuals from scratch for the unwrapped series which is the third episode about various mental health topics. using metaphors I aimed to convey the message and meaning behind the narrative in a visual way. Keeping the colour schemes based in our branding, we used mainly illustrations and animations that I've created using illustrator, photoshop and after effets with some webcam footage for testimonials or descriptions from the youth network.

I’ve worked with a script and a voice actor, in close discussion about how to best represent the different scenes. From the script I’ve created sketches and story boards based off a lot of visual research looking at similar infographic styles and styles that I think would fit the format well. I wanted to push the boundaries of our brand and include visuals that would captivate a viwer into understanding the importance of addictions. I’ve created many sketches and iterations to capture and create a consistent style that feels fun and exciting to watch using the jack.org colour scheme.

At this time, our brand was in transition and therefore had a lot of flexibility within it as we were in an experimental stage of what can and can’t be done showcasing our brand. Therefore we had the opportunity to try a variety of different styles and textures to expand and go past our branding systems.

This project incorporated a variety of different techniques using after effects. I've learned many new ways to create and tell stories through animations.
